Any good editions of Chopin etudes?

yes, definately!

whatever you do, stay away from Shirmer and Kalmus garbage.  I have had incidences where they put thick white lines over the staff so I am forced to guess what the notes are.

Ditto to Padereskwi - use this for ALL Chopin pieces. 

PMW also has put out a new edition of the complete Chopin works.  Haven't had time to really look this one through, but universities in my area seem to have put the set on their stacks.  Anyone study this new edition yet?

I like the Cortot a lot, but also use the Paderewski and Dover (Mikuli) as reference.

I have the Henle Urtext Edition, which is pretty good, though I can't be sure if it has all the original pedal marks (no editions at this present moment have all of Chopin's pedal marks).

Henle is good, too, but Paderewski's fingerings can't be beat!

Get the dover... it is Paderewski's edition, but less expensive.  It also includes fairly extensive notes regarding the edition.

It's not the Paderewski edition. It's the Mikuli. Dover initially reprinted the Paderewski edition, but had to stop printing as they were infringing copyright. However, the Mikuli edition they are currently reprinting is probably better than the Paderewski edition.

I use the Henle, Cortot and Wiener Urtext editions for each one, mainly because I am not pleased with any of them. I have the Padarewski edition of the Ballades and it is magnificent, so I'm guessing that's what you should check out.
