well, I have to agree with cadenz. there are 10 possible arrangements of the repeated notes. why 10? simply put... C(5,2) by counting how many pairs are possible with 5 notes.

so taking the 1st scenario w/o repetitions. P(88,5)
2nd scenario w/ repetitions. 10P(88,4)

P(88,5) + 10P(88,4) = 5,260,743,840 possible motives. this is probably the "rightest" one so far.
