hah, i'm quite the opposite. i go back to Tokyo, the friggin' crowded noisy smelly polluted city. but hong kong and delhi probably beats Tokyo like nothin' though.
i'd rather chill at the beaches here in Hawaii. but then again, we don't have jackshyte... so i gotta do my piano.

alaska. although at the doctor's office (hubby has the flu) was reading about a grizzly attack on a lifelong grizzy studier (became so much like the bear, they were intimidated and probably thought he was a younger bear) that i'm glad i don't live there anymore.
for several years the bear were coming into anchorage (trash cans were free food). mostly black bears, but they had a grizzly around my parents home for a while. the last time i visited, i decided that fear would not be my motto, so i went for a long walk. i only saw one other person walking along the road at that time, so calculated my distance from each house should i need to run, jump over the fence and knock on the door (not calculating noone home and the door locked). having lived in alaska all my growing up years, i learned that the birds stop singing wherever there are bear around (for some strange reason!). if everything is silent, you're probably waiting for a bear to charge.

do you know why benches fall apart? it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them. hint: buy a bench that does not hinge. buy it for sturdiness.

For vacation, I'm usually going to my parents' place in Pyrgos (where I grew up) and Kyparissia (my father's birthplace and our summerhouse), southwestern Peloponnese (great beaches!). Athens is great too for small excursions here and there in the suburbs and nearby islands. Alas, vacation time is still more than a month away...

I spend a lot of time traveling for my job. I usually spend vacations at home. Though with nice weather I've been known to disappear for a few days on my motorcycle....destination unknown, just ride.
