Not necessarily. You may have a knack for certain styles of music and not for another. For instance I can play a Prelude with ease and yet I have trouble with Minuets that are graded much lower.
Also, Moonlight has been grated anywhere from level 3 to 7 depending on if you take account the musicality of the piece as few people play it properly.
It does give you a range to shoot for however when picking music to learn.
There are several threads about music selections already you can loook up.
There is also a very good Excel file available that someone made on this forum. I will email it to you.
One more thing. Grades are extremely subjective and should not be taken to seriously. No different then someone posting a top one hundred list. Lots of room for debate.
