In my stupid opinion:

Horowitz--A live performance from Carnegie. He makes a massive cut in the ending, and adds his own crazy coda with interlocking octaves

Barere-Probably the fastest..very sleekly played

Ogdon-The most massive

Gavrilov-The most articulate (with tremendous speed)

Gilels-A live version with a memory slip, but still a terrific performance.

Cziffra-live performance from Tokyo, 'nuff said.

Fiorentino-blasts through the middle section, but a simple astounding performance.

koji (STSD)

I am surprised no one has mention Boris Berezovsky who is tremendously fast and articulate also. I can't picture any other version topping that one except for maybe Barere which I haven't heard. Anyone have a recording of it to share or a link.

Oh man how could I forget horowitz's?! That one is totally awesome.
I've also heard Pletnev's, which I didn't like; and Katchen's, which was of course quite good but not my favorite.
