Time for injuries to heal

How long does it take for injuries like tingling or soreness to heal in general? My pinky was tingling for 1 day and is barely tingling today, and is alot better but how long should I stay away from playing with that hand? There is no serious pain, which is why I am not concerned about it being serious. Even so its alarming.
