pavane pour une infante defunte question
on: June 03, 2005, 07:26:52 PM
Since my private teacher is in Rome, and will be for at least another week, I have tried in vain to work out one particular section in the pavane. In the Large right before the contrasting section (the section with the "tres doux et tres lie"), how should I play the last two notes of that measure? Should I try to play the e and b with the G# (which is, at least for me, a dangerous strech), or should I try to do a very quick roll to the g#? This has bothered me for some time.

4 hands 2 pianos

Well anyways.
I haven't heard or seen this piece but I think i know what your talking about.

Don't stretch try rolling it, for me I think i would do the fingering I assume *your left hand*

521

If it is right then i suggest
125

Hope this helps.
