Kobrin's Ravel during Van Cliburn finals
on: June 06, 2005, 12:59:03 AM
First time I see and listen to this russian musician...his Gaspard de la Nuit was entirely full of control, command and power…his movements in armoni with his sound emerging from the piano captured immediately audience’s attention. Kobrin is certainly the best of all the Van Cliburn finalists. However I have to say it again….Samson François is by far the best in Ravel affairs so far....his Scarbo is Monumental.!!!Have you ever heard François playing Ravel?...It is worth to do it...
