Rachmaninoff pieces

Hi, I am not a piano college student or performer or anything like that. Just a regular old pianist with a real job! All you people on here like Rachmaninoff pieces a lot, so could you please suggest some for me; I do not know of very many. I am about 2-3 part invention level. thank you for your help.

There isn't really any Rachmaninoff at that level...

unfortunately i must say that i agree with steinway dude... however if youuu were really insane about rachmaninof you could try etude-tableaux op.33 no7 in g minor ... its his easiest piece (that i know of)...good luck!

It's so awkward though. The super-standard Rachmaninoff starter is the C-sharp Minor Prelude Op. 3 No. 2. You might be able to have a swing at any of the Op. 3 fantasy pieces though?

I agree that Rachmaninoff tends to be very difficult.  Though I agree that Op. 3 is a good starting place.  I have played the Elegie from that set and it is extremely beautiful.  (Op. 3 no. 1).  The only weird spot is the middle in my opinion.

whatever u do....DON'T think the g minor prelude is easy it is very very difficult to perfect up to speed....taking me weeks and weeks of practice.
