Movement question for Mosorgsky

I am working on a piece from Mosorgsky (A Tear) and at measure 13 it starts this pattern on the left hand from G2 up to D2 up an octive to D3 again the pattern remains but alternates between D3, C3, B3, B3# at the top note (sorry no image avaliable).

I can do the reach but the notes need to be slurred and legato but the tempo is slow at largo, are there any suggestions on this movement the reach can be done, but involves some serious movement on the wrist which concerns me.

Currently I am pivoting on finger 3 with 5 and 1 going from G2 -> D2 -> D3
