Duo Hammel-Sanchez in Salon Recital in Brooklyn
on: June 09, 2005, 10:27:05 AM
Still trying to recover from the awe of this.

A recap.  I conceived and arranged a salon recital in Brooklyn for these two:

Half of the team, Elena Hammel (EHPianist) and I have been corresponding for quite some time and she had become one of my closests friends - though she lives in Madrid.  She introduced me to my piano teacher Rachel Jimenez, and my whole life took on a new light in 2005.

So these two stayed at our house, prepped for this recital which was really a dress rehearsal for a concert they gave near Lake George on saturday.

The recital was hosted by jon-nyc and his lovely wife.  His new Bosendorfer got a spectacular workout, and those fortunate enough to have been there were awestruck.

Pics and comments about the recital are on this thread (it's a few pages long)
