I am looking for some more advanced Grieg lyric pieces to work on. Any suggestions? Thx.

(Quite) A few years ago I played the "cradle song" lyric piece of Grieg for a piano exam study. It's a beautiful little number to balance and interpret. I don't think it counts as more advanced, though, it's a pretty little number to read/play with.

Have a look here for a listing in progressive order of difficulty:

(grades for Grieg’s Lyric pieces)

Amongst the more advanced, my favourites are:

Op. 71/3 (Puck)
Op. 43/1 (Butterfly)
Op. 43/4 (Little bird)
Op. 54/4 (Notturno)
Op. 43/6 (To Spring)

You may also want to consider the wonderful Holberg Suite (I know, it is not a lyric piece but you may want to consider it nonetheless :D).

Best wishes,
Bernhard.
