Jeno Jando

I have heard many recordings by this pianist...but know nothing about him/her (I don't even know the gender )!!!  Has anyone seen him/her in concert?  If so how was it?  Also, has he/she recorded the Bartok piano concertos?  I really liked his/her rendition of Schumann's Carnival Op. 9.

he used to be one of my favourite pianists ( prolly still is ). but now, i dont mind hearing abit more color, rhythmic subtleties, and/or "personality" in his playing. still, i love jando. tds

I like Jando quite a lot, I just LOVE his WTC recording´but I would prefer less humming. His Beethoven is very nice but sometimes, quite dry.

Must people on here seem to like his Transcendental etudes recording, but this is the one thing I can't listen to. I think he slaughters some of these etudes but then again, 50 times better than I will ever play

Thanks for all of your replies guys and girls!  Has anyone seen him in concert?  Also, where can I find a complete list of his repertoire?  I know on the Naxos site you can find his recorded repertoire, but this doesn't necessarily indicate the full extent of his repertoire (but man this guy plays everything it seems!)

the recording companies have figured out how to prevent the humming. They realized he doesn't hum when smoking and since he can't smoke in a recording studio, they stick a pen in his mouth. Result: no humming.

How do I pronounce his name?? He's hungarian, so I assume theres an h sound in their somewhere, but I just cant be sure.
