Um.... what's going on?  Is this one of pianistimos witty bouts of humour, or is there something more serious?

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

hello.  i'm back.  now, i'm leaving again.  it's all part of my tactics to garner attention.  someday someone will take pity and come over here and at least make a cursory video of me and my playing.  i'll pay $50 to $100.  to get a video of something or other.  that way, i'll be known quantity and noone will keep teasing me about faking, or being really fat, or being a guy...the usual stuff that people say when you can't post a pic or video of your playing.  the only thing is, the bass on my piano is sort of staccato.  so , if you give crit of my playing - don't tell me my left hand isn't legato - ok.  i need a $200. regulation or a new piano.  maybe next month.  the best time to come over and take my money is probably first week of september.

i'll take requests after that.

i'm B AA CK.  whew.  what a ride.  i almost freaked when i saw that guy on the other side of the water fountain.  we have this L shaped fountain that is in front of a bench.  he had no shirt and riding shorts that were covered by the fountain.  so, as i approached i said to myself 'don't look don't look'  - but i couldn't help it - i glaced to the right at his form which was leaned back and apparrently quite relaxed.  he smiled when i took a peek, so i tried to explain myself.  i said, 'from that side of the fountain, it looks like you have nothing on.'  but, then - immediately i was disturbed by myself.  yes.  i have mental problems.

well, as i see it - there were people coming in the other direction just as i passed. and, i figured they'd freak first - if he were truly undone or nakedly sunbathing (leaning back no less).  i was just planning on passing...as i usually mind my own business and usually don't say anything to anyone.  it kind of perturbed me that i said it.  i guess from my side of the fountain - he looked quite content and i wondered if there was some way to remember that spot and get my husband to pose there exactly the same way.

no.  they were two youngish girls just chatting with each other.  it did cross my mind that they had not noticed at all and that i might be the first.  of course, if they had been in white coats- then the man might not have existed at all.  in which case, i would really need that bottle of water to wake myself up with.

it was over 90 degrees at the end of the ride.  i managed to lift my bike into the car and barely had enough energy left to lift my helmet off my head.  because i rarely sweat - there was cursory wetness behind my knees and inside my elbows.  it dried radiantly when i opened the car door.  then, with a bit of radio tunes to cheer me - i looked in the rear view mirror to see if the bug that flew in my eye had escaped again.

actually two or three bugs happened in on this ride.  one was a bee.  apparently oblivious of where he was going and bumped right into my collar bone.  the next was a grasshopper to the helmet.  that was when i turned around.  i thought - i don't want two legs sticking out of my helmet do i?  so i took it off.  the helmet.  shook it.  looked at it.  fluffed my hair.  put it back on.  and then, made it part way back when a mite flew into my eye.

To contribute to the general state of randomness:

Dark backgrounds on a monitor are easier on the eyes than white backgrounds.  That is becuse the monitor is projecting light, as compared to paper where light is being reflected off the surface.

just for a bike ride.  will let you know how this one goes.  my husband is coming along - so it is unlikely that i will be unrestrainedly telling people how they look from one side of the fountain to the other.  but, i might stop and pose my husband.  he'll be wondering 'what's going on?  why must i remove my shirt and pull up my shorts?'  then, i'll ask him to 'just relax and pretend he is the only one for miles.'  snap.  that will be the memorable shot of the year.  i will then make a calendar (one month behind a tree, another behind a fountain, etc).  fair is fair.  i once made him a calendar.  now it is my turn.

You can print straight to a pdf file too.  There's one called "cute" something that works well.  I think there some links posted on this site somewhere.  I'm pretty sure.

pianistimo, teachers use calendars.  If you make one, you can post it in the teaching resource section. :-p

cute.  you think that cute describes me.  i already told you i'm between the likes of carmen electra and lily piano.  that does not mean cute.  it means really quite hot.  too hot for the likes of most pianists here.  in fact, if you saw the calendar, i'd have to kill you afterwards.  i mean, according tot he bible - we either have to kill ourselves or someone else for lusting.

(just kidding)

so, here i sit after a good plate of scrambled eggs and banana bread.  as i told thal, one of my best friends had liposuction.  but, what good did that do?  she has a beautiful waist but pain all the time now.  they must have suctioned her belly button out accidentally.  it's all around her belly button (the pain).

daily, little by little i am seeing a waist appear again.  it is much more worth it to me than pain.  who wants pain to look good?  i use housework as a work out too.  on specific days - i just start running down the stairs and do everything at top speed.  i wish i could show you a calendar of that!  messy house one second - clean house th enext.

i'm really good at gardening too.  i could sort of get above the waist shots of me and different flowers in my hair that i grew.  (not grew in my hair - but grew and cut and put into my hair).

I like to garden too, but it is extremely difficult here in the desert.  Making the soil soft enough to plant is a chore.  It sure burns the calories though.  I find that I hear many insights from God as I garden.  Think of it, that's the first profession of man, gardening.  And all the scripture references to breaking up the soil, unwanted roots, and unproductive trees.  There's a lot there.  Have fun!  I just got my bike fixed, so maybe I'll see my waist soon too.  I do situps (I am up to 100 a day), but that doesn't seem to help much.

Don't you think it is pretty stupid to live in a desert? Yeah, I know there are huge cities in the desert but that doesn't mean it is worth it.

it's a learning experience.  people live where there is work and larger houses that are affordable.  that was why we lived in the desert in california (lancaster).  the housing prices were very good at the time for a three bedroom.  now, we have a four bedroom - so it was worth living in the desert to build up equity to live in a more rainy environment.  but, then you have MOLD and all.  i don't know which is worse.

the weather everywhere is a sign, i think, that people have turned from God and that He is saying 'hello.'  'I'm over here.  pray to Me once in awhile and i will bless you.'  seems that i sense His presence too when i'm gardening in soil or planting a spiritual seed instead of weeds.  our thoughts can be seeds or weeds, too.

perhaps my threads are not serious enough sometimes.  i believe we are in very troubling end times.  i don't think it will get better.  i think everyone should repent and pray.  and, i think that we cannot get out of these problems or expect protection from God if we turn away from Him in what we do.  so, as i see - it doesn't matter a whit where you live.  you can be blessed on the moon (which is what i used to call living conditions in the desert).  sometimes, you see the peace and grace of a quiet place, though - and i remember beautiful sunsets, animals, and great views of the stars!

yes.  it's the writer instinct.  from so many years of living in america and noting that sex sells.  it's not really that important in my imaginary novels.  mostly, if i were to finish one, they'd be about monogomous relationships and pianos.  of course, there might be a flashy scene or two - kind of like an 'episode' of sex in the city - where someone walks by a bosendorfer and then just has a 'turn around' and wants to sit on the bench and admire the piano.  then, the piano talks back and apologizes for being so big.

Pianistimo, I can't believe you lived in Lancaster!  That's the "big" town we live outside.  We live in a very small town about 13 miles from there.  We may have even met and not know it!  I agree with your previous post about our need of repentance, and it being the last days.

And Prometheus, I don't think I am stupid for living in the desert.  It is where my husband has his job.  We don't own our home though.  We live in a small parsonage.  Anyway, back to the desert.  We have great weather here.  The nights are clear, beautiful sunrises and sunsets (as pianistimo said), the skies are almost always clear, we don't have fog, we don't' have hurricanes, we don't  even get many rainy days.  It may get hot in the summer, but there is always a breeze to cool off the afternoon, and it cools down at night.  We don't have humidity to speak of, you know the dry heat.  That can be beat by getting in the shade.  We only get shook up by earthquakes every ten years or so, and that is only for a few seconds.  What is so stupid about that?  It is a great place to live, you should try it before you knock it.

cars and airplane afficianados frequent those areas specifically for the dryness.  i think, for the most part it is like alaska, except backwards.  you either stay in the house or pool all summer and then come out in the fall.  fall there is gorgeous weather.  it's like summer here (less 100 degree heat from summertime) and 70 to 80 degrees well into november is kinda nice.  my parents used to visit for the weather as well as for the getting together.

palm springs is an oasis in the desert.  if prometheus doesn't like the desert - he should try visiting there.

mojave is really barren.  the next thing to death valley.  it's an experience to survive in desert conditions.  basically, resting and keeping in the shade during the day and the coyotes and rabbits come out at night.  i remember hearing the howling and night sounds of the crickets.  we have crickets here, too.  the only thing that made me very uncomfortable was thinking my car overheated once or twice during the day.  and once, i got stuck out in the desert - looking at the stars (you can see all the constellations) and thought i dropped my keys.  it is a scary place at night because it is SO dark - and we lived near a state prison.

We don't live in Mojave, it's VERY windy there.  We live in between Mojave and Lancaster.  We went camping in the Sequoias last week, and really saw stars!  I thought we could see a lot here, but nothing compared to up in the mountains!  I think there are getting to be too many people living out here to see many stars, unless you go out into the desert.  I don't do that very often because it is a bit scary.
