From the link in the second post (roll over Chopin indeed!):"After listening, it is interesting to reflect on the fact that Mlle Elizondo was subsequently awarded the $1,000 William R. Morris Memorial Talent Award and the $200 Rick Stitzel Most Talented Musician Award."
blimeyand why does he pronounce chopin like showpan and scherzo like shirtso? get yer facts right man!!!
whats unreal is the applause after shes done playing..
what is the correct way to pronounce it? I always said showpen
Pronounce it in the French way
She obviously is one of the greatest musical talents of our time. She has the velocity to play the piece very very slightly over standard tempo, the fingers to miss about half the notes, tone production that rivals that of the finest sledgehammers, and the great artistic vision to cut more than half the piece (undoubtedly because it has a lot of repeats, and that'd be boring).
Dammit i hate my curiosityIm scarred for life
showpen is the french way.
I still can't believe the audience applauded her wrongful playing...Maybe she is actually quite good, but gets extremely nervous. Hm, wonder if that's the case...
Was she playing on a keyboard?
