Is his series still used? 

Are there any flaws in it that have been improved by the current round of method books?

it is still out there. I don't like the series though.

It uses too much fingering, and stays in five-finger positions way too long. Some of the pieces are pretty, though, so if you whited out the fingering you could use it for supplementary material.

I used to use those, before I moved to Piano Odyssey, And the RCM books of course.
Ahh llamas......is there anything they can't do?
