THE RACH PRELUDES

I know I screwed up on the list C # minor is on the bottom but anyway to start a generic thread

What is you favorite Rachmaninov Prelude and why?

My favorite is OP. 32 No. 10 for the shear emtional effect it has on me, its one of those true masterpieces of a truly genius mind.

My 3 favorites would be Op.23 No. 5, Op. 3 No. 4 and  Op. 32 No. 12. But I must say that it was a hard decision to make. I like all of them greatly.  8)

This is my personal favorite collection of preludes.  Rachmaninoff is what got me started on the piano.  I'm going to have to say B flat major, (which i am currently working on for an audition) G minor ( I love the main two contrasting sections in that) and C# minor because that was the first one I played and I relate to it the most.

I'm also working on the B flat minor.
