Saint-Saens op 22 3rd mvmnt- HELP WITH MEMORISING
on: June 24, 2005, 09:34:14 PM
I´m not exactly sure which measures they are, but, in the 2nd piano concerto, 3rd movement, how the HELL do you go about memorising those trills?? There´s about 5 pages of them in total and there is absolutely NO pattern or any sort of grounds to follow at all! I dunno, maybe there is and I'm just not seeing it...
I dont play an instrument, I play the piano.

Haven't played it but, have listened to it with score quite a lot.  The feature of this section is not the trill but the development of the orchestration.  He sets up each progression of chords to be longer, larger, more resonant, and increasing in direction.  Play the 2nd piano part and you will see.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
