CMC and Khachaturians Concerto
on: June 30, 2005, 06:50:30 PM
Hi.  I just came back from my national competition in Canada (CMC) and heard Khachaturians concerto performed.  I love this peice, and am eager to learn it, but it was the first time I had heard it.  My question for you all, does anybody have sheet music or a recording they can send me?  Ive heard the Willliam Kapell is a good one, does anybody have that?  Also, is anybody here involved in CMC?? If you are it would be cool to see what you thought about some of the performances.

I'd be interested in hearing the Kapell version also.  I only have medium-quality (64kb-sec) mp3s of Yablonskaya's Naxos recording.  PM me if you want it.

Hey.  By the way, I am norwegian_power.  They screwed around with my account but now it is all good.  Joell I left you a PM but if you didnt get it, I would greatly appreciate whatever recording of khachaturian concerto that you have.  Also, theres got to be people here that were in CMC.  Maybe CMC deserves a new thread.
