Wagner’s Universe in a Pianist’s Hands

One of the most thrilling performances offered at Cremona Musica this year was the Wagner by Liszt recital given by Filippo Tenisci – Italian pianist, born 1998 and celebrated for his refined interpretations and expressive mastery of the Romantic repertoire. Thank you very much! Would have missed it....

The sound quality is really good (for a download, but nearly comparable to CD).
Interpretation ranges from good to mediocre. I enjoyed 6-8 although I wasn't satisfied with everything (they are not really up to my references).

The Ninth, as usual, was a disappointement. I figure that once you have "your" recording, it will be nearly impossible to surpass it. Nevertheless, of all performances I heard until now (which are only 8, I think...not sure...) this was actually the worst (not meaning to say it was bad...just not as good as the others). This is mainly due to Tempo choices, I disagree on every movement except the second and parts of the finale.

However, worth the listening all the time, thanks again.

PS: the 6th is only available until the 4th of July, the 7th until the 5th and so on, so hurry up...
