Arct eligibility
on: July 02, 2005, 05:36:27 PM
Just a question...

I took my grade ten exam (RCM Canada) last year and did great all except for my sight and technique portions, which I did absolutely terrible, and thus I will need to perform supplementals. in order to complete ARCT ???

Since that time, I have been working with a great teacher for a year on sight and tech only and now feel very confident.

My question,
I have absolutely no doubt that I will get the minimum 70%, But I wanted to know if the extra points I get will then be applied to my total mark for the whole previous exam. I'm thinking that technically, I could have a shot at boosting my total gr. 10 mark from honors into first class honors if this is true. Will they re-issue my certificate, or is that just not the way it works?

Jeremy, why don't you contact the RCM directly? They're usually pretty helpful, at least in my experience.

Nanabush, did you pass your exam? If so, why bother re-doing it -- just put the effort into the next one you prepare for? If you didn't pass, I'm sure you can take it again -- the RCM is not known for refusing to take your money ::)

No I did grade five a while ago, and that's the grade I think I did the worst on lol.  It'd be funny to go back and do grade five...
