How Many Hours Should You Practice the Piano? – The Lines Between Science, Method and Passion

It is a timeless question, a persistent voice in the mind of every pianist: “How many hours must I practice to truly improve?” It springs from a perfectly legitimate desire to measure the commitment required to transform our ambitions into sound, whether that means playing a simple minuet or dreaming of the world’s most prestigious stages. Same poll as the one about Scriabin’s etudes op. 8, except this one’s about Scriabin’s etudes op. 42  :)

I only played nr. 4, but nr. 5 is absolutely my favorite  :D I started to play it yesterday, it seems very difficult to me!

Anyway, I picked nr. 4 and nr. 5  :)

No.8 is probably my favourite Scriabin piece, so I'd have to vote for that one. (I could be wrong, but the B major section seems to have the same harmonic idea as the E-flat major sections, which I think is clever.)

the best etude of Scriabin- op.42 no.5, no doubt!
and no doubt it is one of the most difficult etudes!
i've just started to learn it and also find it very difficult, but playing it makes so pleasure...
I really adore it!:)
