take any other foreign leader and you will find that their constituents have complaints as well. perhaps if you analyze each leaders strengths and weaknesses, you will find that they all sort of even out. leaders are not isolated from the weaknesses of the common population, it's just that their mistakes stand out farther. i think if you rely on a president, governor, parent, etc. for perfection, you'll never find it. so, you have to focus on what is good and what are the strengths of that person. they are more likely to listen to you that way, and you are more able to appeal to God on their behalf.
this probably sounds old fashioned, but i am realizing that our own families are sort of mini models of govt. in a fashion. it is easy to criticize others, but much harder to manage our own affairs. but, if you make a bad decision, you cannot live the rest of your life stuck at that position. you go on. you must remedy whatever difficulties are put before you.
president bush is learning, as we all do, to trust God in the times we live in. there are no assurances anywhere else. so many different forces hitting so many different places - and with so much distrust. if our own country isn't behind him, our strength will fall apart. we will be worse off with chaos. that is what so many other countries have. no one can agree. there is no order. there is no peaceful solution. president bush stands for concepts of rights within laws. the terrorists want no laws and all rights.
