This is one of the best videos I have seen on piano playing. I agree 100% with rlefebvr: this movie is entertaining, it shows you what there is (or can be) in one's playing, even though the three pianists get roughly half an hour each (Lang Lang gets more). Barenboim makes some (or let's say only) interesting remarks, and it is fun to see how these experienced pianist react to his criticism, lol, they look like some 8-year old who hasn't practiced (but they all play well, and Barenboim is very positive, but I had the slight feeling expecially Mr Kadouch wasn't very comfortable with the remarks on his playing. Oh, and all of them make some ridiculous facial and body position dislocations...Lang Lang beats them all, though, as usual. But he has positively surprised me on the Appassionata, I thought I would hate his Beethoven, but it was good, actually).
And, the most important thing, hearing someone so experienced talk about music with so much passion and knowledge literally urges you to go to the piano, practice and try to look for these little details even a bit more attentively.
Inspirational! Thanks for pointing it out.
