What's a great stereo system?

Professional quality. No more than $5,000.
I heard the Rach 2 on a much better stereo system than what I have. It sounded soooo much better. I heard things I never heard before, nearly sounded live. I want that experience again.
So what would you recommend? And do you know what you're talking about? I don't mean consumer level products.

Our friend who is a musician and audiophile likes Nakamichi. Last I heard, definitely high-end.
