OK, here's my little scenario. I need a soft piece with pedaling, that works on legato technique. I am at Grade 6/7 RCM (underline,Underline,UNDERLINE), and need help choosing a piece.

How about the 2nd movement from Beethoven's 'Pathetique' sonata? It requires legato in the main melody almost constantly, and it's extremely beautiful.

Or, you could use the first movement of 'Moonlight' sonata. It also requires legato in 3 voices, and it has constant pedaling. However, this one is harder to perfect IMO.

Yes I agree very beautiful piece! And way easier than it sound, I sight played it the other day...

Not sure how good you are, Chopin's B minor prelude is RCM grade 8, but the E minor is grade 7.

WTFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A 5 year old kid can play the E minor with good musicality!! What the hell is this grading system !! The e minor can't be more than grade 2-3  I can't imagine what grades are Liszt etude....

Yeah, our grading system isn't quite so good. The Pathetique is too difficult. I might try the Moonlight or the E Minor etude.

Seriously.  Using this grading system, I would put Liszt Sonata in Grade, oh, 37.

First Movement of Moonlight Sonata is probably a good one.

What about the Chopin waltz in E MAJOR posthmous, the one whose origins are a bit doubtful (according to my book). I played it recently and its a noce slow piece without anything much by the way of tecnical difficulty.
