yes!  if they could talk, what a story they'd tell.  my brother got it in his head to buy a sailboat built in the 70's.  i think 1974.  what he did that for, i don't know.  now he's so proud to be out sailing and doesn't care about how it looks, only how it functions.  and, it happens to be fine as far as we can tell, so far.
do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.

I did my share,

Motor and sail, and always loved it....However the thing about a boat being "a hole in the water where you throw your money..."? Very nearly true...!!
