My HUSBAND has a cat.  - Turkish Van .  I have a pet frog that came packaged in some orchids I had ordered from Florida.  He's  a Cuban tree frog.  not very cuddly, but loyal!
So much music, so little time........

i have a stray cat (used to be anyway).  a tortie.  she has been better than a purebred and acts like a queen (and never makes a mess) and is the SWEETEST.  she always watches out for everyone, equally shares sleeping on everyone's bed, and only seems to need minimal care.  my husband spoils her rotten and if she was a person, i would be jealous.  since she's a cat, she gets fresh deli sandwich turkey or roast beef from his sandwichs and he brings home stuff from restaurants for her (hiding them in his wallet).  she follows all of us around, but him - she rubs his legs a lot.   she is a great comfort to all of us and we hope we are to her.  unfortunately, she's 15-16 years old.  she seems healthy, but i don't know how long she'll live.  she catches mice and birds.  and, she caught a snake in the backyard before it bit our three year old (when she was playing back there).

dinosaurtales,  a cuban tree frog!  that's cute.  glad you don't eliminate pets when they come free either.  some of the best ones ARE free.
do you know why benches fall apart?  it is because they have lids with little tiny hinges so you can store music inside them.  hint:  buy a bench that does not hinge.  buy it for sturdiness.

Peach-faced Lovebird (up until I was 11 I had 2 parakeets, but the female one possessed the male and we gave them away <_< lol)

I've always wanted a dog, or a big beautiful aquarium for fish, though

None, my beautiful cat died last December  :'( :'( :'(

She always used to jump up on the living room window sill and miaow to come in when i was practising then she'd take up her place on the top of the sofa and listen to me play for hours.

A strange thing happened last Friday. I was practising as normal then a tabby cat - the spitting image of my cat who died last year jumped on the window sill, with the same expression and miowed at me exactly the same way my cat used to. For about a minute i thought it was a ghost cat! She ran away when i opened the window - a little bit nervous i think. But she reminded me how much i miss my old cat and i felt quite tearful as i went back to practising again.

This cute tabby cat has stuck around our house ever since last Fri we think she may be lost. She has no collar and is rather skinny, perhaps about a year old if that as she is quite small.

Today she sat with me in my bedroom all afternoon and listened to Chopin's 2nd piano concerto with me. I think she may be a reincarnation of my previous cat?!

What should i call her? I'm thinking Polly or Penelope? Penny for short?

OMG you are crazy just looking at those things freaks me out eewwwww

on a more normal scale, i had a couple of fish a long time ago. they were so cute. but then died after like 3 months from some weird fungal infection...
then i adopted a water dragon in my garden at my old house, called him bradley. there was a whole family of them, but he was my fave. used to feed him bananas and mango yummo, and then he'd crawl up to the back door and sit there. and swim in the pool. he was the cutest!

Why do everyone think fish are boring? Well, maybe 'cause all they do is swim in circles........but someone has to stand up for the fish.

Piano Street Magazine:
Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
