Listz Hungarian Rhapsody No. 5
on: August 02, 2005, 03:23:09 AM
I'm starting to learn Listz Hungarian Rhapsody No. 5 and planning to use it as my biggie romantic period piece for acouple of my compeitions this year. What do you guys think of the piece? Personally, I found it to be one of the more mature and less fluffy-like work by Listz.

Isn't it a bit easy for competitions? Anyway I guess it depends on the level of the competition... but it's a great piece !!

I find this one a bit boring... sort of like the way I find the first part of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 13 repetitive and boring.. it's also on the easy side so you would have to do a really great job if you plan to beat someone else playing, say, Hungarian Rhapsody No. 11.

Life is like a piano, what you get out of it depends on how you play it
