Sorry Bernhard if I have made you cross or fed up with my suggestion. I am not a teacher. I am a pathetic older learner who has found you advice invaluable and would, for my own sake, appreciate a CD that you had put together. I was not serious though and realise you have done this for your own teaching and are busy. It was only meant as a throw away remark or compliment even.

What I was trying to say is that the pieces in the CD do not have any intrinsic value. Any piece will do. The main reason I select them and give them to my students is so that I do not have to teach some of the dreadful stuff they come up with

. At the same time, there is no reason why you should not consider my choice as dreadful after listening to it. The point is that a beginner's CD should consist of the pieces
you would love to play/teach. These happen to be pieces I like, and that is the only reason they made it to the CD.
