I like it.

But if you should learn it, no idea. How could I ever answer that? It's an unusual piano concerto. And what about his other two?

I think Rautavaara's first concerto is a magnificent piece. I've got the score for it around here somewhere and have worked on it a little bit. Some of the technical aspects are a little unusual but he wrote it for himself to play so that explains some of it. E-mail me if you want the score.

Can you tell me where you got the score?

I have a hard time finding pdf's of rare scores and full scores.

My only copy of the score is the real, physical, sheet music. I bought it at Hutchins and Rea (https://www.hutchinsandrea.com). It's published by Breitkopf and Hartel and I think it cost me $36.95.

The first concerto is way more obvious than the other two. But the third is magic also. It has more depth. I don't like the snare drum in the finale, or is it a whole drum set? It's to harsh and tasteless for me. The first movement is really special.

The third is so dreamy and melancholic in the first movement.
