Rachmaninoff 0p32 No.5 fingering help.

I always loved this piece especially Ashkenazi’s recording. Any help would be great; I do have the Dover edition by the way. I plan on taking this one slow. :)

Oh I just LOVE this one.  Now, did you have a specific spot ?  Are you talking primarily about the LH ?

This is what I have come up with for the the first and second LH quintuplet pattern of the piece:

(42125)  (32125) ....


Then, measure 7

(2-3)1(2-4)5  (2-3)1(2-4)5  (2-4)1(2-3)5  (2-3)1(2-4)5


I hope this helps, I would be interested to see what other people come up with as well.

It's a great piece. Van Cliburn has a great recording of it.

I use (2-3) throughout, and I don't switch over to (2-4) cuz the 2-3 seems to keep my wrist loose.
