Subject says enough, I wanted to post the Mendelssohn Concerto sheets in that thread in Students Corner, but can't post it, because it's not in the additional options anymore.

Attchments are only allowed in the Audition Room to avoid this forum to get filled up with copies of copyright protected sheet music.

BTW, the Mendelssohn Concerto no 1 is already available for download from this site for all Gold members.

Ok, but, the sheet music that is available on the internet is mostly public domain, and that isn't illegal.

Yes,  but that is only partly true as there is a great amount of scanned non public domain editions in circulation on the net.
If someone uploads a copy of sheet music, how can we be sure it is in public domain? (For example: "Is this an Edition Peters and if so is it printed before or after 1923?")
It is almost impossible to check and would be extremely time consuming anyway.

Also, the idea of providing our own produced or scanned sheetmusic at this site is that it is of considerably higher quality than most of the other sheet music you find on the Internet.

I bought a dvd with sheet music, and it was in the ad that it was all public domain, thus I'm allowed to print it and upload it everywhere.
