Just saw Joyce Yang in concert
on: August 17, 2005, 05:58:31 AM
Simply amazing. She played some scarlatti, chopin, liszt, and some others. Her technique is absolutely flawless and she plays with such grace and emotion. Interpretation was spot on in my opinion. It was just great. There's a mini-concert and a discussion with her tomorrow I'm gonna go to. So if you have a chance to see her, go for it you won't be disappointed.

You either do or do not. There is no try- Yoda

Life is like a piano, what you get out of it depends on how you play it

She won 2nd place.

I met her a little while ago at a concert/dinner thingy (I got to eat dinner at her table! :P). Though I wasn't particularly taken with her playing, she's a lovely person. Very kind, and rather demure.
