Please excuse my ignorance in this matter.  As a "newbie", I was wondering how, in posting a reply, you attach a quote from another message in the thread.  Thanks.

Replace the curly ({}) brackets with square ([]) ones:

{quote}this is the quote{/quote}

giving:

this is the quote

Just use the quote button on the upper right of each post and delete the irrelevant stuff in from what you quote so it makes more sense.
