I've got a video clip with John Petrucci of Dream Theater playing the 10/2. Haven't watched it for quite a while so can't say anything about his tempo or other such things...but I'd think it's quite fast and metronomically dull. And clean and precise of course, as he always is.

Chromatic scales on the guitar are rather "easy", though. But playing it with the chords ? Seems damn insane.
