The D minor is my favorite of the entire set, but I can't seem to find a recording that catches all the fire that's printed in the score. The only Dm that I've heard that I thought did it justice was a live performance by Ann Schein. Pogorelich's recording almost comes close, but it still seems to be missing something. I also heard Read Gainsford perform the 24 preludes live, and his Dm came pretty close too, but it was somewhat lacking in musicianship. Anyone know of a particularly wonderful recording of this prelude?
