Ravel's Prelude (1913) Query
on: September 02, 2005, 11:49:16 PM
Hi folks ^_^ I got a worrying query to make (worrying for me anyway), I'm beginning to get spooked I'm playing this piece wrong throughout :/
Ravel's Prelude (1913), I gave up on the hard stuff, and I'm doing this ^_^ But it has no key signature... fine, that's normal, but in many random measures there are natural signs against notes where an accidental had not even been placed before hand (in the same measure). They are not surrounded by brackets either (not that I know what they mean anyway!)
Because of this I'm wondering if my score is a bit dodgey >_< Not sure if I can upload it though because of legal issues ~_~ I actually have one recording of it, but since I'm learning it, I can't tell if I'm wrong or not (and I think my recording is insanely faster then 60bpm)
Any help appreciated ^_^;; I mean there is one bit in the score where an A note in the LH is played with a chord of D F and B in the RH... if memory recalls rightly, and it sounds BAD, so just double checking!
Thanks for your time!
EDIT: Never mind, the bit I mentioned I was infact hitting the wrong notes ~_~ And now I've finished learning it, it does sound good as a whole
