Rank these in order of difficulty...
on: September 05, 2005, 11:40:00 PM
hardest to easiest, well if u do it the other way its fine as well.

i was just curious, these pieces are part of my current/former repertoire and i just wanted to get a feel on how other people think about it, and if i think the same way

in no particular order:

chopin scherzo op20 b minor
scriabin etude op8 no 12 in dsharp minor
bach prelude and fugue WTC2 No. 6 in d minor
Beethoven Op2 No3 Sonata (ALL 4 movements)
-1st mvt
-2nd mvt
-3rd mvt
-4th mvt
Chopin Etude Op10 No4
Rachmaninoff Op23 No. 5 Prelude
PRokofiev Op10 No12 Scherzo

any help is appreciated..ie if u dont know some of the pieces it'd be helpful to rank the pieces that u know..

thanks!

i'd say the easiest is the rach prelude the hardest is the Beethoven.

everything else is in between somewhere.

depends on your strengths. Prokofiev quite tricky. Ive heard pros fall off Scherzo. d# etde is tough but only if you find 8ves and 10th difficult. Rach prelude is rel straighfrward
P+fg not too bad. Study Chopin is difficult but not insanely so. In terms of stamina musicality and technique i would be inclined to agree that the Beethoven is the most challenging.
