My daughter would like to know approximate levels for the above pieces.  She is 13 and at late intermediate level but would really like to learn one of the above pieces.  She is currently working on the Fantasy Impromptu, and has completed a few of the nocturnes.  She is looking for a dramatic piece for performance. The pieces should not exceed 4-5 minutes in length if possible. Also, her hand span is a little larger (longer fingers) than most young ladies her age if that helps.  Any other dramatic Romantic period pieces would also be appreciated.  Thanks.

Op. 33, no. 2 will be the least difficult of the group you suggested, though definitely not "easy".  She might want to look at the C# minor Polonaise, Op.26, No.1.

Op. 33 no. 2 is just above grade 8.

The others are very advanced. :'(

Thanks for both replies.  She is disappointed, but is open to substitute recommendations (or pieces that will help her get ready for the Chopin Prelude 24. Her teacher has recommended the Brahms Intermezzo and Schubert Impromptus op. 90.  Of the four Schubert Impromptus are the first two overplayed?  Should she consider no. 4 instead?  Regards, Lani
