on: September 16, 2005, 09:52:10 PM
Does anyone know the key and time signature of the THIRD movement of Brahm's
Ein deutsches Requiem (German Requiem)?? I sure could use it. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: And the tempo marking if one is given. Thanks

d minor. (i was guessing F major or d minor in my head, yaah) sometimes it seems he alternates. and in the second movement he sort of goes into an alternate phyrygian mode with the C-flats (interpolating it with minor key).
brahms was very progressive and schoenberg wrote a paper on him in 1950 titled "Brahms the Progressive." i think i saw something when i googled schoenberg and brahms.
