Has anyone ever played......

Just wondering if any of you guys have ever played the Grande Polonaise composed by Chopin??? its a pretty long piece that's actually pretty fun to play. ;) ill get my recording of it and post it in the audition room sometime

Assuming you mean the Grande Polonaise Brillante Op.22 (the one which was originally written for piano and orchestra (although, as is typical of Chopin, the orchestral part is completely banal and can be easily removed) preceded by the Andante spianato), I've hammered through it a few times.  It is lots of fun, and not quite as difficult as it sounds (though not exactly easy either).  Probably one of my favourite lesser known Chopin works, along with the Rondo a la Krakowiak Op.14 and the Bolero Op.19.

how tough is the andante spaniato? i want to learn it if its not too much trouble

The appogiaturas are a bit tricky. LH-RH volume balance was a bit of an issue for me at first too.

Otherwise, it wasn't that hard.
