Doggy Treats
on: September 24, 2005, 03:18:31 PM
I love finding yummy treats for my doggy, and I mostly like to get animal parts like cow's hooves and noses, lamb's lung (sorry to anybody that is disgusting to, but it is actually a decent use of parts of animals that would not otherwise be used), and then other treats that are human grade ... but, have you every fed your dog ice ?  Mine LOVES it and there is no fat !  Ice is perhaps his favorite treat of all, besides some of the stuff he can chew on for awhile.

I am wondering if it is just my doggy who loves ice, or if your's does too ?  If you have never tried it, maybe you will ?  ;D

Also, have you ever made home-made dog food ?  I am interested to know about it.

well this is slightly dangerous to me, my dog , ben, is quite an insane pregnant cat, he will eat anything, but he doesnt know the consequences.

one time we had to pay for an operation otherwise he would die :(

and other times he has been sick, and/or crapped all over

so we have to be very careful what treats we give him, because as nice as it may seem giving him them when hes wagging his tail, its in his best interest not to make him suffer...

but generally, whever i am having sausages(big ones ;)) or other meat i give him a little bite, i could swear he smiles at me whenever i do.

i gave my dogs a wondeful treat today, a good bath out in the garden. The one enjoys it the other abhores it. no more stinky dogs.

We used to give our hounds hooves etc but havnt for a while, they're spoilt enough as it is. What i really love to do is put peanut butter in a hoof and watch their little tongues dart in and out of their mouths trying to lick it out. They then get sticky mouths and the looks they get on their faces trying to rid their mouths of all the peanut butter is really cute.though it probably isnt to good for their teeth, but once in a while isnt a train smash.

Yes, my cat did have expensive tastes.

When it came to fish, she wouldn't eat any old crap, it had to be salmon or plaice. Even better, some caviar, which she loved.

Ordinary cat food did not seem to interest her at all, nor did milk, as she preferred cream.

Despite the strange diet, she lived to be 19 years old, which i think is rather old for a cat.

Caviar? Caviar's too rich for me! My cat will settle for nothing but junk. However she still manages to stay slim. Shame us humans can't do that. And rachmaninova, your dog eats chocolate?!?! That can be toxic in large doses (1 bar or 2)

Woulda been byebye doggy.

Dogs is so stupid.

Cat was being ignored- Cat just jumped on the keyboard -put the computer on standby -then began to attack a pen.

If it had thumbs, light sleeps with one eye open would be in order.

my Kitty would eat cheetos... or however it's spelled. she'd eat peanut butter too, but we rarely gave it to her. she did the tongue-gag when eating it. and she'd only eat beef stew canned cat food. any other kind and she wouldn't eat it.

This cat spent the first few months of its life starving out doors so it will eat pretty much anything that does look like dropping ;D

Well, she's crazy about chocolate, but of course we don't feed her with chocolate. Just a little bite, occasionaly...

You're right. My Chinese grandparents love to eat dogs, cats, rabbits,... Once, they ate my pet tortoise.  :'( They think it is "normal"  >:(
