Respighi - Piano Concerto in A minor
on: September 24, 2005, 03:22:37 PM
Anyone familiar with this work? Its great. Very fresh while sounding very solid. And with a strong majestic theme. I have a recording by Tozer. He has two more concertos which I never heard.

I'm have that CD but i'm more familiar with the Mixolydian mode which is f$%^'n awesome. 2nd movement is gorgeous and 3rd's a great passacaglia.
There's a fantasy type piece as well (can't remember the exact name).
Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.
