[lau] 10:01 pm: like in 10/4 i think those little slurs everywhere are pointless for the music, but I understand if it was for improving technique

Well, heres the explanation---I lift weights, and I use this name at another website dealing with bodybuilding. I didn't want another screenname and password to remember, so I stuck with this one.  It really doesn't fit in here, but what the heck.
A bodybuilder that plays and is learnig classical music---almost incompatable in the mind, isn't it?   ;D

That's cool. The famous pianist Tzimon Barto does bodybuilding too. :)

My teacher used to do body building, but that's only because he was a skimpy young lad at school...
I'm sure body building can be very useful for playing, but also pretty dangerous in the sense that you tense up too much all the time without realising it.

oh i'll stop talking about the piano and get back to usernames!

What does the "wolfi" stand for in your name? wolf or something? or wolfgang amadeus mozart?

That's simple. My first name is Wolfgang. And I play and teach the piano. 8)

Heres an interesting bit of information---the bodybuilding has actually helped, belive it or  not!  After I bought my Yamaha C3, and gave my Baldwin upright to my brother, I found the seating position on the bench BETTER!  I don't get as tired in the arms and shoulders (I think the shoulder exercises help keep the arm position better). I also don't get as tired in my lower back as easily as I used to since I started exercising.  Hand strength is WAY better----can really make fff really loud if I want it to be loud. So all in all, the weight lifting has been a  great help. ;D
