i see you are only fourteen. so i am somewhat curious as to the motive of this question.
generally speaking. no its a terrible 'job'. its definately not something you go into if you want money back for the amount of hours you put in. if you want to get rich then no its not that good.
it is possible however to make a living from teaching and sometimes being a performer, and composing, but it is difficult to manage. ie sometimes you get work, sometimes you don't.
usually people are your age are more interested in what they like doing, rather than what they think they should be doing, so i'm wondering if perhaps you've suggested what you want to do, and people like parents have been like "you can only do it if you earn lots of money" or something.
so i say, if you have the urge and the love for music, then by all means take it up as your ambition, but if you want to make a living, start looking for jobs that have few hours and pay lots, then make them your targets :) (theres no point in having money if you have no time enjoy yourself and spend time with others atleast as far as an ambition is concerned)

It depends...

Like Richard Clayderman, who actually isn't that good at piano, sold alot of piano music albums.... and is very rich...

but like my teacher, who plays piano for more than 40 years, is only earning his living by teaching some one like me as a career...

so, I think, mostly, you can't earn alot of money from playing piano...
but of course, if you are terrific at one genre of piano music, you can still be rich.
