hiccup opera
on: October 05, 2005, 03:37:21 PM
sesame street has really changed.  they are incorporating more musical ideas every day.  the hiccup opera reminded me of my daughter, whom, when she gets hiccups - gets them for an intermindably long time.

they also had a couple of percussionists on sesame street yesterday.  one was the main performer and told the other to wait her turn.  of course, she never got a turn until the end when she looked really sad, and depressed - finally the other lady gave her a turn and she hit the last note.  then, when the applause came - it was for her, and the flowers went to the last lady as well.  the original performer was teed off and left.

today, there was a story about a penguin who sang but only after some conniving on the part of his friends to get him to sing.  wonder what tommorrow will bring (anxiously looks forward to sesame street).

agreed i might spend too much time on the computer, but when you have children you'll understand.  if your whole life revolves totally around them, you'll go berzerk.

ps.  my husband is gone to france for a week and so i'm kinda stuck here.  perhaps i always post alot anyway - and my husband, well, he's used to it.  we have a good relationship because we can pretty much do what each wants to do - but spend time together, too.  i don't feel like i'm obligated to be with him 24/7 - so the time we spend together when we want to is special.  we often go out together, go bicycling, take the kids to park nearby - so i don't feel like i'm all work and no play.
