I know little of Beethoven's music for voice, but this is a PIANO forum.  You might want to search for a forum devoted to singing.  It may also help if you be a bit more specific in future.  Movement three of what?

Thank you.

I read the subject, which read, and still reads: "BEETHOVEN MVT 3".

Which work's third movement this is refering to was not made clear, and as you called it a song in the post, all information given indicates this is the third movement of a certain vocal piece by Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Yes, we all read.

However the information was incomplete. Movt 3 of what? You mentioned a "song". Beethoven wrote an opera, a mass, 9 symphonies and 32 sonatas, all have "movements". We are pretty well informed but telepaths are in short supply.

No need to shout. Just provide the necessary information.

Then I suggest you save us sometime and do a search. This particular movement of this particular sonata is one of the most discussed pieces in ths forum.

Best wishes,
Bernhard.

Maybe it's just cuz ahm still a beginner, but when ah read movement three ah instantly knew the person was talking about the moonlight. It is possible, however, you all knew this, but still decide to twist the nipple of our slightly special friend here. If so, shame on you. If not, shame on you. 8)

Now help him/her.

I don't mean to be mean, but if there are 32 sonata and 9 symphonies (well we know since this is a piano board.... it can't be the symphonies) and you read the original title of this thread... then you must have a psychic connection with prodigy.... Your minds are one and the same... brought together by psychic forces.

Because when I looked at it and pretty much everyone else did, they just saw:

BEETHOVENS 3RD MOVEMENT......                  of What???

No one is twisting his nipples... believe me - neither am I, but there is no way that we were supposed to know that is was the moonlight that he was talking about.

Okay, enough banter... ::)

What part of the piece are you having problems with?

And just for reference, what level do you play at and how long have you been playing?

I've just visited for the first time in a couple years today, and after looking at the various boards here, I could clearly tell that prodigy meant the Moonlight Sonata 3rd mvt  :P.  Anyhow, just practice slowly, and practice broken 4-note chords.  Most pieces can be learnt by practicing slowly.  Also, look for patterns...

Good luck :)

I disagree. Most of the people on this forum are poo-ey posers if you ask me.  Just look at the audition room.

I knew the poster meant the 3rd movement of the "Moonlight," too, and that kinda freaks me out.

Personally, I stronyl feel the first movement is by far the most difficult to pull off in a scholarly, sophisticated manner.
