My favorite animal is probably the Common Snapping Turtle; isn't she (probably, females are bigger and this one is huge) beautiful? I've always loved and admired these dangerous (do not touch or it could be Ravel LH Concerto for you!) creatures, they are are clumsy on land but VERY fast in the water; somehow I can relate to that....

those are beautiful pictures.  somehow, i don't find posed pics (with human ideas) as interesting as these.  the hippo with the turtle is priceless.  animals seem to do enough funny things on their own.  and just natural settings seems much better than a kitten stuffed into a beer glass. 

in pennsylvania occasionally we'll see a bald eagle flying.  watching from the ground (obvioiusly), the wing span is huge!  i like the way they fly, scouring the countryside like a u-2 spy plane looking for small rodents or rabbits.

the philly team here is called the philadelphia eagles and everyone is CRAZY about eagles here.  if you don't like eagles, you may as well not bother to come to philly.  people would trample you at a game if you dared say it.  (holds up #1 sign - honks horn - wonders how the eagle got so involved in the game).

i decided on the sidewinder. this snake can boogie, if anyone has seen the documenty Animals are beautiful people they'd have seen it, anyone who hasn't seen this documentry, you should go and get it. The Soundtrack is great, and the content- all about the animals that occupy the southwest  african deserts-is fascinating, it's also very humourous.
