Does anyone have a recording or music of the 10th? Wasn't it reconstructed by someone?
o yeh - 7 and 2 for me, pretty much all of them except i'm not a huge fan of 6.

definately #9.  the awesome nature of this symphony is beyond normal human ability to compose.  definately an unsurpassed masterwork and a delve into the romantic side of classicism - but directed at brotherhood of man instead of the normal romantic love.  the timelessness of it is amazing, too.  that's what makes it classic.  but, then, the romantic side, as i see it, is the expansion of the symphony to include the human voice (the most romantic instrument besides piano or violin, imo) - and the numbers of human voices make us realize what angelic voices might sound like.  it has an otherwordly feel.  much like handel's messiah.

I would like to hear the 10th also.

I vote for 5 and 9. common choices, but I dig them.

I voted 7 and 9. It looks like most other people did, too. :) The allegretto from the 7th is just amazing. As is the 2nd movement of the 9th. I'm a sucker for slow movements, it seems.

Most people probably only know No.5 and No.9. Maybe a few that have also heard No.6 and No.7.

I know all of them and i adore the 3rd. Yes, Eroica would have to be my favourite.
